- Base Package: includes cargo carrier, fixed or swingaway frame, license plate bracket (with light) and hitch tightener
- Plus Package: Base Package plus a hitch lock and an LED taillight upgrade (not recommended for Swedish and German vehicles including Sprinter chassis) $40.
- Total Package: Add a bike rack, hitch rack and hitch lock to the Base and Plus Packages. All racks are
interchangeable on either frame. Price for the Total upgrade is $265.00.

Great Idea - Tremendous Product
We own a Ford Explorer, and the roof rack weight capacity is very limited, so we turned to the StowAway as a solution. This is an incredibly well built product, and the swing away frame is extraordinarily well made. Everything was delivered correctly in very protected cartons. No damage at all. We have a Class III hitch and the 2" frame and Hitch tightener fits exceptionally well, and eliminates any swaying what-so-ever. We are very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone considering this solution!
Quality product nice to have room inside our vehicle.
Just returned from a 1200 mile trip with the Stowaway2 on the back of our 2011 Acadia Denali with factory 2" receiver hitch. Ordered it with the LED tail-light upgrade and hitch stabilizer. Arrived when promised via FedEx with no damage or missing parts and took about 30 min to assemble. Worked excellent, no rattle or other noises, no shifting, no issues. The i cluses hitch stabilizer is an awesome product, plan to ise it with my bike tack as well. The Stowaway2 held 2x what would normally fit in the small cargo area behind the 3rd row seat in our Acadia. We would usually have to fold down 1/2 of the backseat to fit all our gear, but recently had a 4th child. The Stowaway2 was the perfect solution. Carried: baby's pack and play, 3 large duffel bags, 2 small duffel bags, 5 winter coats, 3 camp chairs, portable 12v tire inflator, and 3 shopping bags of goods. Thanks Stowaway2 for making our family trip much more comfortable.
A high quality product built with very durable materials.
I have an Acura MDX 2013. I was a little concerned that this box may be to big for my vehicle. I was wrong it was perfect. The trim features matched my car well. The swing away arm allowed for full access through the rear door. The subframe was made of very rigid tubular steel. The box glided effortlessly while using the swing arm. I felt very secure leaving my stuff in the box overnight at a hotel. The convenience of having a storage box at the rear of the vehicle allows anyone in my family of six to take things in and out of the box. There are no mystery rattles or struggles getting things in and out of a box on top of the car. I don't have to worry about parking garages and drive trough windows. It is an ideal system for a family. not to mention easy on the gas bill.
Some draw backs of the device is removal from the hitch and storage. I am 6'2" and a little of over 300 hundred pounds (yes that means I am fat). I was able to remove the box myself, but it was awkward and very heavy. Soccer mom's beware a whole soccer team would have a hard time with this one. good news this isn't something one person could steal very easily.
I just used the Stowaway Max this past weekend (4/1/13) on a 13 hours trip to Hilton Head Island. I packed 2 sets of golf clubs, 3 bags of groceries, 1 large duffle bag and 5 or 6 various soft items like beach towels etc. The Stowaway worked great. It was like it wasn’t even on my hitch. I would recommend it to anyone who needs some extra cargo space.

So excited with all the extra room! My RV has a rear entry door, so the swingaway feature is the best thing that ever happened to an enclosed cargo hitch carrier. Easy assembly with two people. Hitch tightener removes any wobble and the tail lights are bright and visible. Can't wait to hit the road with this one!
