I was really looking forward to putting this on the back of my road track Zion. It would increase my storage capabilities significantly. When I received the Stowe carrier, and after inspection, I realized that there were holes in the plastic. Not the injection, mold holes, which are in the front and there’s four of them evenly spaced, not that. But there were holes that almost went all the way through to the other side of the plastic. So I called the company and left a message. I received no response. I called again, no response. If it wasn’t gonna be such a hassle returning it I would’ve.
Now let’s consider the fact that it’s white. I was really looking forward to having a white box with my white road check. It looks great. It is impossible to keep clean. They say that you wash it with soap and water. That may be, but it does not remove the deep dirt that is wedged in between the rough plastic finish on the unit. All in all it was a disappointing experience. The only reason reason I gave it two stars instead of one was because it really does do what it says it’s gonna do it just doesn’t look as good as I would like
Response from StowAway Cargo Carriers:
Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear the carrier didn't meet your expectations.
We did receive your voicemail, returned your call, and sent a follow-up email in an effort to assist, but unfortunately we never received a response. Had we been able to connect, we would have been happy to review photos of the areas you described to determine whether they were normal molding characteristics or something that should be addressed under warranty.
We also understand your comments about keeping the white carrier clean. The textured finish is designed for durability, but lighter colors can show embedded dirt more readily than darker ones.
If you'd still like us to evaluate the cargo box, please don't hesitate to contact us. We'd be happy to help.
