Well made and easy to assemble. Unfortunately the the right rear door of my Sprinter van doesn't quite clear the top bar of the cargo holder, but the unit swings out of the way just enough to access items in the rear of the van.

We just got back from our second trip after installing the swing away bike/cargo carrier and I could not be more pleased with the function and quality of the rack. I had some trepidation before ordering this unit as it is rather expensive but after two trips I feel it is well worth the expense. My wife and I travel in a small class B RV (Pleasure Way) which we love but storage space is a premium. This rack was the perfect fit for us as we can store all of the bike paraphernalia outside of our rig. Great Product!

Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier

ASSEMBLY; Was disappointed that the cargo rack was made in Taiwan not the USA. The screws provided for that rack did not work. I had to purchase self tapping screws to put that rack together. Would like to have the option to remove the bike rack on a quick disconnect vice a bolt and nut configuration this would make the entire system more user friendly..

QUALITY; Based on the weight of the entire assembly i would like to see some wheels on the add-ons components to allow the movement of the entire assembly by one person similar to a hand cart. Would like to see the paint changed to a rhino type coating to withstand the wear and tear of use. The heavy duty construction is exactly what I was looking for. The welds are high quality with no visible porosity or undercut.

EASE OF USE; Would like to see a 1/2 inch more room between each bike landing to assist in the onload and offload of the bikes. swinging mechanism and safety pins are all easy to use and necessary.

Overall i am happy with my purchase but would like to see continuous improvement measures to ensure that I am a repeat customer.

We have a Pleasure Way Class B RV that is short on storage space. I purchased the bike/cargo rack with frame. I also purchased the extra large cargo box (haven't used that yet). As with most major purchases, don't try to assemble and "figure out" when you have a group impatiently waiting for departure. I've learned that the hard way. Assembly took around an hour initially as I got familiar with the components. Now that it's assembled, it takes me about 10 mins to mount to vehicle and load with bikes/cargo. It is extremely well built. Very little movement or vibration during transit. Loaded with two adult bikes and two large containers of firewood. Even with bikes still loaded, the rack was easy to swing away providing access to the back doors. After bikes were unloaded, but the rack still attached, I was able to fully fold rear doors back against the sides of the van. Having the ability to swing the rack also made it much easier to load/unload the bikes. The piece that is included to stabilize the rack works great. It's a fairly expensive solution, but I do believe it will last a lifetime.

Perfect addition to our Pleasure Way Van

Our van is only 20 feet long, needed more storage and a place to put our bicycles. Stowaway is the perfect solution. It may be pricey, but in this case you DO get what you pay for! The fact that it swings away from the van is wonderful. It allows for easier mounting and dismounting of bikes and provides access to the rear doors of the van. Customer service? If never seen better. We had some defective parts on our bike rack, I called on a Monday, followed up on their instructions on Tuesday, parts arrived Wednesday AM. A quality product backed by a professional team. I highly recommend.
