The StowAway Hitch-Mounted Generator Rack provides a secure, convenient way to transport generators and other heavy gear up to 200 pounds and 26.5" x 19.5" in size. When mounted to our SB SwingAway Frame, it offers a compact, accessible solution ideal for vans and similar vehicles. This setup allows the passenger-side rear door to open fully with the rack in place, and the frame swings open 90 degrees to provide clear access to the driver-side rear door and full entry to the cargo area. For van owners, the SwingAway design eliminates a common issue with door-mounted carriers: structural damage caused by excessive weight and vibration.

For SUVs, RVs, and other vehicles, the Generator Rack also mounts to our Standard SwingAway Frame, providing the same durable platform and easy rear access. This makes it a versatile solution for transporting generators, fuel cans, coolers, and other gear across a wide range of vehicles.

Built in the USA from heavy-duty steel tubing and finished with a durable, corrosion-resistant powder coat, the Generator Rack is engineered for long-term reliability. Each rack includes a hitch tightener for a stable, rattle-free fit.

Free Shipping within the Continental U.S.

We offer free shipping on all orders within the Continental United States. Items purchased through the StowAway website are typically processed and ready for shipment within 1-2 business days. During the summer months (or right before a holiday) this could change to 3-4 processing days. Please call to confirm current lead times before placing your order.

For orders within the lower 48 states, we ship with either FedEx or USPS ground. Please call for available express options and applicable shipping charges. There is no sales tax in Oregon, so we do not charge sales tax on U.S. orders, regardless of your destination.

Shipping to Alaska

StowAway orders ship to Alaska via Span Alaska and generally take 7 to 10 business days. Shipping costs to Alaska generally range from $100 to $200, depending on the product. Orders ship to the closest port via barge. We generally ship smaller items to Alaska by U.S. Mail. Shipping to Hawaii
